Superior IP67 Waterproofing
This strip is encased in a fully sealed silicone tube, giving it an IP67 rating. This is a significant step up from the more common IP65 strips.
- IP65:Protects against low-pressure water jets (rain and splashes).
- IP67:Protects against heavy rain and even temporary submersion(up to 1 meter for 30 minutes). This makes it ideal for areas prone to puddles or direct exposure to harsh storms.
- Silicone Shield: The tube is vacuum-sealed, ensuring moisture never reaches the internal copper "Dream Chasing" circuitry.
The Power of Mains vs. Battery
For an 8-meter strip, mains power is the most reliable way to maintain the 366 dynamic effects.
- No Voltage Drop: Batteries gradually lose voltage as they drain, causing colours to shift or "flicker." The mains adaptor provides a steady 12V supply, ensuring the 8th meter is just as bright as the 1st.
- Continuous Play: Perfect for holiday displays, pergolas, or permanent storefront lighting where you want the lights to run for 6+ hours every night without worrying about a recharge.
- Headroom: The included mains adaptor is rated to handle the peak power draw of all 366 patterns, providing a "safety buffer" that prevents the controller from overheating during high-intensity sequences.
Smart Dual-Control: IR + Bluetooth
This system bridges the gap between traditional and smart lighting.
- IR Remote: Use this for quick "on/off" or to cycle through patterns while sitting on the patio.
- Bluetooth App:By scanning the QR code on the receiver, you can control the strip via your phone.
- Effect Library: Search and select specifically from the 366 available modes.
- Timer Function: Program the 8-meter strip to automatically turn on at dusk and off at midnight.
- Music Mode: Sync the 8 meters of LEDs to pulse in time with music playing from your device.
Installation Guide for 8-Meter Runs
Due to the extra length and weight of an 8-meter silicone strip, mounting requires a bit more care than a standard 5-meter strip.
- The 3-Meter "Cold Lead": The receiver lead allows you to keep the mains plug and controller inside a garage, shed, or caravan while the light strip starts its run outdoors.
- Secure Mounting: As the instructions warn, avoid plastic zip ties. The weight of 8 meters of silicone can cause a thin zip tie to cut into the housing over time. Use Velcro straps every 40-50cm to distribute the load.
- Handling Tension: Do not pull the strip tight like a rope. Allow for a tiny bit of "slack" so the strip can expand and contract slightly during temperature changes between day and night.
