This 24W LED Transformer acts as the "bridge" between standard high-voltage household electricity (mains) and your low-voltage 12V LED strips.
While the previous components we discussed focused on portable battery and solar power, this driver is essential for "Site Power" or "Mains Hook-up" scenarios, such as at a caravan park or when powering your flagpole lights from a home garage.
Your LED strips require a steady 12V DC (Direct Current) to function.Household outlets provide 240V AC (Alternating Current), which would instantly destroy your lights. This transformer "steps down" the voltage and "rectifies" the current.
Input (240V AC): This side connects to your mains power source (wall outlet or caravan hook-up).
Output (12V DC):This side connects to your LED controller or strip.
24W Capacity: This is the "fuel tank" size. A 5-meter Dream Chasing or 75-mode strip typically draws between 12W and 20W. This 24W driver provides a "safety buffer," ensuring the transformer doesn't overheat during long nights of operation.

Safety and Installation
Enclosure: While the driver is compact, it is not waterproof. If you are using it to power a flagpole light, the transformer itself must stay inside your caravan, motorhome, or a weatherproof "dry box."
