The 24-Key RGB Controller is the "brain" of a colour-changing lighting system. It manages the power and signals sent to each of the Red, Green, and Blue channels within your LED strip, allowing you to transform the mood of a room with a single click.
The handheld remote provides a balance of simple colour selection and dynamic motion:
16 Static Colours: Beyond the primary Red, Green, and Blue, you can select shades like Cyan, Magenta, Amber, and various shades of Purple and Pink.
4 Dynamic Modes: * Flash: Sharp transitions between colours.
Strobe: A pulsing white or coloured light effect.
Fade: Smooth, gradual transitions through the colour spectrum.
Smooth: A slower, more subtle colour-shifting program.
Brightness & Speed: Dedicated buttons allow you to dim the static colours or speed up/slow down the dynamic patterns.
Technical Limits & Expansion
This controller is designed for a standard 5-meter installation. Because the internal circuitry has a maximum current rating, pushing it beyond its limits can cause the controller to overheat or the colours to dim.
5-Meter Limit: This is the "Plug & Play" sweet spot for a single controller.
The 10-Meter Range: The Infrared (IR) remote works up to 10 meters away. However, remember that IR requires "line-of-sight"—the remote must be pointed at the small sensor wire on the controller box.
Scalability: If your project requires 10m, 15m, or 20m of lighting, you must use an RGB Amplifier. This "repeats" the signal from the first controller and provides fresh power from an additional power supply to the next 5-meter section.
Installation Pro-Tips
Arrow Alignment: When connecting the 4-pin plug of your LED strip to the controller, ensure the small arrow on the plug matches the arrow on the controller cable. If reversed, the strip will not light up or the colours will be incorrect.
Sensor Placement: Since this is an IR system, do not hide the controller box completely inside a wall or a solid wooden cabinet. Ensure the small "eye" (the sensor) is visible or poked through a small gap so the remote signal can reach it.
Battery Prep: Most remotes come with a small plastic "pull-tab" to protect the battery during shipping. Make sure to remove this before your first use!
