Understanding the 10-Metre Setup

When installing 10 metres of LED tape, there are two professional ways to connect them to the included transformer and controller:

You use a 4-pin RGB splitter to connect both 5m reels directly to the controller box.

• Pros: Ensures both reels get equal power. The colours will be perfectly consistent across the full 10 metres.

• Cons: Requires the controller to be placed in the middle of the 10-metre run.

Critical Installation Tips

• Line of Sight: Because the remote is Infrared (IR), the small black sensor on the control box must be visible. If you hide the box behind a wardrobe, the remote won't work. Aim the remote directly at the sensor.

• Surface Tension: 10 metres of waterproof (IP65) strip has some weight to it due to the silicone coating. While the tape is strong, if you are mounting it upside down on a ceiling, I recommend using a few silicone mounting clips every metre for extra security.

• Heat Dissipation: Even though this is 30 LEDs/m, 43.2W still generates heat. Ensure the strips are unrolled completely before testing them.
