The 5V USB Advantage

Operating on 5V makes this strip incredibly portable for "off-grid" events.

Voltage Warning: As noted in your guidelines, the internal "Dream Chasing" IC chips are extremely sensitive to voltage. Plugging this into a 12V source will cause immediate, irreversible damage to the controller and the LEDs. Always verify your USB port output is standard 5V.

Reach and Protection

The cabling design is specifically engineered for the "Flagpole Setup":

• 3-Meter DC Lead: This acts as a "cold lead" extension. It allows you to keep your USB power source and the (non-waterproof) USB plug inside a dry vehicle or tent, while the IP67-rated strip handles the rain and wind outside.

• IP67 Silicone Tube: This is a professional-grade "heavy duty" seal. Unlike IP65 strips which are just "splash-proof," this IP67 tube is vacuum-sealed, protecting the LEDs from dust, heavy downpours, and even temporary submersion.  

Mastering the 366 "Dream Chasing" Effects

This strip uses RGBIC (Addressable) technology. Instead of the whole 5 meters being one colour, each section can be a different hue, allowing for:

• Flowing Rainbows: Colours that move from the bottom of the flagpole to the top.

• Stacking: Light that "fills up" the strip.

• Pulsing: Subtle "breathing" effects that glow and fade.

Installation Strategy: Protecting the Silicone

Because the strip is housed in a silicone tube, it requires "soft" mounting to maintain its waterproof integrity.

• The Velcro Rule: High winds cause flagpoles to vibrate.A plastic zip tie has a hard, sharp edge that will eventually "saw" through the silicone tube during a storm. Velcro ties provide a cushioned grip that absorbs vibration and distributes pressure evenly.

• No Cutting: To maintain the IP67 vacuum seal, do not cut this strip. The end is factory-sealed to prevent moisture from wicking into the tube.

• Spiral Mounting: For 360-degree visibility on a pole, wrap the strip in a spiral. Use a Velcro tie every 50cm to ensure the weight of the strip doesn't pull on the top connection.
